What is White Balsamic Vinegar?
White Balsamic Vinegar is made from White Trebbiano grapes. It possesses a sweeter, clearer taste. It is produced at a higher pressure and lower temperature than other balsamic varieties. This unique process ensures its distinct flavor and golden glow. Its aging process occurs for at least 18 years. It matures in oak, ash, or cherry barrels. The 375mL bottle includes a convenient tapi pour spout.
Imported Directly From Modena, Italy
All of our Italian balsamic are made from Trebbiano or Lambrusco grapes. They originate precisely from Modena, Italy. They are aged for a minimum of 18 years. Dark balsamic undergoes a caramelizing process. This gives it a distinctly deep, rich, and velvety taste. Our White Balsamic Vinegar is not caramelized. It has a sweeter, clearer taste. Importantly, no additional sugars are added to our whites. This ensures the pure quality of our white balsamic.
White Balsamic vs. Regular Balsamic and Substitutes
The key difference lies in the production. White balsamic is slightly less sweet than dark balsamic. It also has that signature golden glow. Its production involves higher pressure and lower temperature. If you need a substitute, white wine vinegar or rice wine vinegar can work. However, they will not replicate the complex, gentle flavor
Culinary Versatility
This versatile balsamic is perfect for many dishes. Drizzle it over fresh salads for a light, bright dressing. It enhances marinades for poultry or fish. Use it in glazes for roasted vegetables. It adds a subtle sweetness to fruit desserts. It's also excellent for pickling. This vinegar truly offers phenomenal flavors.
Secolari Olive Oil and Vinegar are only sourced from California producers. Why is this important for an oil and vinegar store? Well, because there’s a California Olive Oil Council, and many of our products are certified through the council!
The goal of the COOC is to encourage consumers to use California olive oil because it contains healthy and fresh ingredients, which is essential if you’re cooking with it daily. We only source our products after meeting with the producer and confirming that they live up to our high olive oil store standards.
Plus, we add all of our herbs and spices at the time of bottling, rather than after as many other retailers do. This helps maximize the flavor, creating a taste you’ll notice in any dish you use it in.
